DON BENNET

My name is Don Bennett and I have been working in education for the  past 30 years, with 19 years of that time spent as a high school counsellor working for the North Okanagan School District. I have a Bachelor and Master’s degree in Education with coursework and training in Counselling and Special Education.

I have been counselling and supporting youth and families throughout the 30 years and am eager to support youth, parents, and individuals of all ages outside of the school setting. I recognize that reaching out for support can be hard; but staying silent and suffering without the support is also very difficult.

I aim to provide a very caring and safe space to talk openly about the ways to get you back to the life that you envisioned for yourself or for your loved ones. Please contact me for a free consultation and we can talk about what success can look like for you.

I look forward to meeting you soon.

Quiet Listening

In my spare time I enjoy the outdoors with my wife and adult children and granddaughter , (and Finn the Labrador of course). Fishing, camping, kayaking are top pursuits as well as playing and watching sports. I also enjoy listening to and playing music. I enjoy strumming a few chords on my guitar as my favourite thing to do to unwind (I call it six string therapy).

I chose Acoustic Counselling for my business name as this name reflected much about me and my quiet nature, my love of music, and also the ‘unplugged’ soft, quiet, and subtle setting that I aim to create when working with clients.

The perfect setting to find your voice: be here, and be heard.
